Hampi

Hampi was the capital city of Vijayanagar kingdom. It is believed to be the richest city of those times. From huge markets where traders used to do business, to some of the magnificent temples and monuments were built during these times. While some of the monuments and temples are ruined, exploring these structures can still leave you awestruck.

Tungabhadra Dam

Hampi is situated next to Tungabhadra River. A dam has been constructed near Hospet, about 20 km from Hampi. The astonishing view of the huge dam and the nearby gardens are a perfect place to spend an evening at.

Kishkinda Empire (now Anegundi)

While the city of Hampi is situated on one side of River Tungabhadra, the other side of the river has history that is a lot earlier than Vijayanagar kingdom. The places and incidents here dates back to Ramayana. From Anjanadri Hills, where Hanuman was born, to various hills where Lord Rama met Hanuman, Sugreeva Caves, Vali-Sugreeva Fighting place and many other stories will keep you on the tows to know more!

Ancient Living

The hills and boulders in this region has much more stories than we know of. However, there are many other places that are lost in the history. We would also be visiting one such place where you get a glimpse of a village life from 3000+ years ago! Yes, you read it right. It is indeed three thousand years ago. A time when none of the modern technologies existed, but still a few structures were built using just stones, which stand still even today!
